Who is your typical student?
While we do not have on specific “type” of student, the majority of our students have multiple years of work experience. We have students from all walks of life and diverse backgrounds. We celebrate diversity because we find that it adds to the overall quality of discussions within our online classroom environment.

Do I have to finish my degree in 2 years?
No. Once a student has started the program, they have up to 6 years to complete the program. We understand that sometimes things in life can come up. While we do suggest that our students complete their degree without taking any breaks, we do allow our students to take some time off.

Are there any pre-requisites for this program?
There are a total of 12 foundation modules that address 4 specific disciplines within the MBA program and serve as academic preparations that ensure you are prepared to perform on the Graduate level. Students may waive some or all of these foundation modules based upon work experience and academic history. Foundation modules can be taken along with other courses in the MBA which means that the Foundation Modules don't have to add any time to the length of your program.

What are the requirements for the program?
Evidence of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, or the equivalent from an international college or university. Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or professional work experience and are required to submit official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities. Admission requires an undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). International applicants must score a 500 or higher on the TOEFL.

Are there any entrance exams required for your program?
The University of Scranton does not require any entrance exams as three years of relevant work experience is required for acceptance.

What accreditation does your program have?
The University of Scranton is regionally accredited – a nationally recognized credential and the highest level of accreditation a traditional college or university can obtain - by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). Middle States is one of six regional accreditors within the United States.

The University of Scranton's business school, the Kania School of Management, is among approximately 5 percent of worldwide educational institutions offering business degrees that have achieved the distinction of accreditation by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

What is the duration of the program?
The online MBA program is designed to be completed in 24 months (two years) but could be extended if additional foundation modules are required.

Are there any campus visits/residencies/internships required?
The University of Scranton does not require any residencies or on-campus visits for the completion of online MBA program. This program is 100% online.

Is there a difference of the quality of education between the online program and the on campus program?
No. With our online MBA, it is the same professors, same curriculum, and same degree. We do not sacrifice any quality with our online MBA. Online students are allowed to use all resources that our on campus students have.

Will my degree state that I have completed the program online?
No. There is only one type of graduate degree from The University of Scranton. Students who successfully complete the online program will receive a diploma stating that they have earned their degree from The University of Scranton. Online and campus-based students earn the same prestigious program credentials. Graduates of the online program are invited to join the University’s regular commencement ceremonies in Scranton in May, and are proudly counted among the University’s more than 45,000 alumni worldwide.

What does the support look like for the online program?
